Final settlement price of White Rice 5% Both Options for June 2010 (BWR5 10/06) contract as of June 14, 2010 is 12.85 baht/kilogram.
On the last trading day of BWR5, The Agricultural Futures Exchange of Thailand (AFET) will settle the final price in order to manage futures trading of BWR5 to be transparency and justly.
Regulations of Final Settlement Price.
Take Simple Average value of the last 3 working days (including the last trading day) of Mid Interval Value of white rice 5% retail price as reported by Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce, added by 0.30 baht/kilogram export premium.
The final settlement price is calculated as follows.
Price of new white rice 5% as per retail rice price daily report, its products, and hemp sack, in Bangkok area, as reported by Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce.
June 10, 2010 = 12.40 – 12.50 baht/kg = mid price is 12.45 baht/kg
June 11, 2010 = 12.50 – 12.60 baht/kg = mid price is 12.55 baht/kg
June 14, 2010 = 12.60 – 12.70 baht/kg = mid price is 12.65 baht/kg
3-day average price = (12.45 + 12.55 + 12.65)/3 = 12.55 baht/kg
Rounded to 2-decimal number = 12.82 baht/kg
Added by export premium (0.30 baht/kg) = 12.85 baht/kg
Therefore, Final Settlement Price = 12.85 baht/kg |
