Final settlement price of Thai Hom Mali Rice 100% Grade B Both Options for July 2010 (BHMR 10/07) contract as of July 15, 2010 is 28.88 baht/kilogram.
On the last trading day of BHMR, The Agricultural Futures Exchange of Thailand (AFET) will settle the final price in order to manage futures trading of BHMR to be transparency and justly.
Regulations of Final Settlement Price.
Take Simple Average value of the last 3 working days (including the last trading day) of Mid Interval Value of Thai Hom Mali Rice 100% Grade B retail price as reported by Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce, added by 0.30 baht/kilogram export premium.
The final settlement price is calculated as follows.
Price of new Thai Hom Mali Rice 100% Grade B as per retail rice price daily report, its products, and hemp sack, in Bangkok area, as reported by Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce
July 13, 2010 = 28.80 – 28.90 baht/kg = mid price is 28.85 baht/kg
July 14, 2010 = 28.40 – 28.50 baht/kg = mid price is 28.45 baht/kg
July 15, 2010 = 28.40 – 28.50 baht/kg = mid price is 28.45 baht/kg
3-day average price = (28.85 + 28.45 + 28.45)/3 = 28.583 baht/kg
Rounded to 2-decimal number = 28.58 baht/kg
Added by export premium (0.30 baht/kg) = 28.88 baht/kg
